Diagnosis and technical support after flooding in residential area
After heavy rains, a residential area, located near two rivers, has been flooded.
Our mandate was to identify the (internal and external) causes of the flooding and design technical solution to avoid its reurrence.
Topographic survey, hydrological study, analysis of sewerage maps, water network modelling
Technical and economic study for the water supply of the park of economic activities Chimay-Baileux - Hydrogeologic study
The study aims to determine the relevance of the setting up of a new water supply network for the park of economic activities (PEA) on the basis of the requirements of water (quantity and quality) for the companies present in the PEA, and of the water resources available in the vicinity of the park.
The evaluation of the water resources comprises two principal activities:
The inventory of the water resources and their physicochemical characterization.
The hydrogeologic study, on the basis of modelling, to determine the capacity of the aquifer and to evaluate the potential impact of water pumping on the piezometric level.
Analysis and design of a quarry backfill fly ash dump at Flone quarry
The Hena fly ash dump is located in a valley above the village of Les Awirs. Historically the dump has been subjected to periods of instability. The long term stability of the dump could not be assured and require to be relocated.
Geological and hydrogeological studies of contaminated sites in the Waloon region
Technical specifications and supervision of conducted drilling works under the Thyle river for water supply pipes laying
The purpose of the project is to partly replace the existing water distribution network in the city of Villers-la-Ville and to extend the distribution network to peripheral areas.
Aigremont quarry environmental reconnaissance: impact assessment of the abandoned mines and blasting vibrations on the surrounding hydrogeology
Reconnaissance study preliminary to the opening of the new Aigremont limestone quarry, in order to identify and evaluate the potential risks related to the presence of abandoned mines, to water table drawdown and to vibrations caused by blasting.
Survey, design, technical specifications and control of the extension works of the urban water supply facilities network of Villers-la-Ville
The purpose of the project is to partly replace the existing water distribution network in the city of Villers-la-Ville and to extend the distribution network to peripheral areas.
Geo-technical study of wall stability at the Ampsin quarry - development of a conceptual exploitation model (phase 1)
Quarry extension study of the mining front stability at the limit between Visean limestone’s and Namurian schist’s at the quarry of Ampsin, Belgium.
Technical assistance to the Peruwelz City Council for the regional groundwater exploitation project of the Carboniferous aquifer.
The project concerns the pumping of approximately 4,000,000 m3/ year in the vicinity of the city by the Walloon Region for the water supply of the Flemish Region.
